my dad and i are decorating the christmas tree && we were wondering if it is OK to let ornaments hang below the bottom of the tree or not?

Yes. So long as there aren’t any curious kittens that will bat them around. I find that it is the best place to hang my hand blown glass mounted inside a glass globe set. They’re kind of heavy so if they do drop off, they aren’t as likely to break. Teardrop ornaments show nicely there too. I really wouldn’t put too many or it may look cluttered. Though, as gifts begin to pile up, move the ornaments up.
